Merry Christmas and Whatnot. Around this time of year I always want to sing Christmas songs, it's some of the only covers I enjoy doing. I did come of age in the time of Sufjan Stevens Songs for Christmas era. It's fun to put my own spin on a classic and indulge in the particular feeling that comes with The Holidays. Hoping that The Holidays bring you togetherness, comfort and peace. This song came together because I asked my prolific musician friend Trent if he wanted to play guitar to The Christmas Song.He sent back a full fledged song with vibraphone and drums and it was a welcome surprise and a gift. I wanted to channel a fun, snap your fingers version and I was smiling the whole time recording it. I hope you like it and Merry Christmas to you!
